Time for another short list. And I'm sooooooo tempted to put Jaeshin and Yongha in there.
Kim Yoonhee and Lee Sunjoon, Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Go Hyemi and Song Samdong, Dream High. Lee Shinyoung and Ha Minjae, The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry. Choi Dongyi and King Sukjong, Dong Yi.
Day 23: Your Best Couple
Time for another short list. And I'm sooooooo tempted to put Jaeshin and Yongha in there.
Kim Yoonhee and Lee Sunjoon, Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Go Hyemi and Song Samdong, Dream High. Lee Shinyoung and Ha Minjae, The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry. Choi Dongyi and King Sukjong, Dong Yi.
Yoonhee and Sunjoon made such a great couple-- they were very competitive, but such good friends and very supportive of each other that it's adorkable. Hyemi and Samdong, likewise. Shinyoung and Minjae were a totally different dynamic, and not without rough spots seeing that it's a noona-dongsaeng pairing, but still swoonworthy.
And the winner is... [and I can't believe it myself...]
Dong Yi and the king, in Dong Yi. They were so cute from their first meeting that I was totally rooting for them before I'd even gone through a third of the drama [and I'm still not done watching it yet]. It's King Cophetua and the beggar maid plus Esther and King Ahasuerus, Korean version, only your beggarmaid/Esther is a spunky young girl with a better nose for mysteries than Trixie Belden, and your king is by turns adorkable, compassionate, and formidable. Their relationship lasted through politics and court intrigue, and their offspring turned out to be as Machiavellian as Ramses Emerson, but sweeter and cuter, at least as a child, and we all know who he turned out to be.
