Day 11, 12 August 2011 – A book you hated
I'll have to nominate Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass for this. For me, it was a book that hurt... reading it hurt because the children just seemed to get tangled deeper in everything. The part about the ones who lost their daimons just made me depressed. I struggled through it, but the end didn't give me any hope, so I never reread it. It's probably the first book I instantly gave to the first person who asked for it.
