Erk, I am a bit late with my teaser for today, but no matter. XP I've been reading Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper books lately, feeling more in the mood for mysteries than for fantasy / sci-fi. Benni's kinda growing on me, actually. And I happen to love needle crafts... it's the only "feminine" skill I've mastered, since I am hopeless at cooking and cleaning.
Each Benni Harper book title is actually a quilt pattern, and all the quilts described in each book make my hands itch for a needle. Yes. And today's teaser is from "Fool's Puzzle," a Benni Harper book by Earlene Fowler.
"I was in the middle of haggling with the catering supervisor about two damaged chairs when Ortiz came barreling down the stairs, a look on his face vicious enough to fell a herd of elephants.
'Are you out of your mind?' he said in a voice as close to a snarl as I'd ever heard."

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Sonds good to me!
Teaser Tuesdays: Selected Poems of Carl Sandburg
I like reading books about quilting even though I don't quilt. I may have to look into these. Here is my teaser.
Ortiz sounds like a scary guy!
