Eeeeh, three days to go before the Lightning Thief movie hits town. I have already reread --and savored-- at a slower pace all but the last of the Percy books. No matter how busy I'm going to be, I really have to make time for the movie. Got a scare because I thought it was not going to be shown in the Philippines after all, or maybe later than February 12. Posters have suddenly popped up over town this week, however; and I've seen the trailer on TV, so... looks like it's all systems go for the Lightning Thief movie this weekend! /hops around excitedly/

So, yeah. This week's teaser is from Book Three of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan... "The Titan's Curse." Guess what quest Percy and company are on this time. New developments arise, new characters arrive... things take unexpected turns.

Nereus plunged into the water and turned into a slimy eel. I started to tie him into a knot until he realized what was going on and changed back to human form. "Why won't you drown?" he wailed, pummeling me with his fists.
"I'm Poseidon's son," I said.

-p. 152, "Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse" by Rick Riordan

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
