The good news is, the annual company medical checkup is done. The bad news is, I have hypertension and carpal tunnel syndrome. Too much stressing out over convoluted sentences and paragraphs that make no sense, I guess. /looks annoyed/ Oh well, that won't affect me being able to read all the books I want to read, anyway. The teases, er, sorry, the teasers must go on! Aja!
Still on the Percy Jackson kick. Ten days till "Lightning Thief"! Can hardly wait! /jitters excitedly/ Although they've turned Grover into an African-American, Annabeth metamorphosed from a blond California girl into someone vaguely reminiscent of Bella Swan /looks annoyed again/, and Chiron of the straggly beard has somehow become James Bond, er, Pierce Brosnan-- the trailer looks good, and I gotta admit that Logan Lerman looks good as Percy. (But there's no Hydra in Book 1, is there?) Well, the ambiance has a familiar feel to it, but then that's because it's a Chris Columbus film... of Harry Potter fame.
Anyway, our teaser for today is from "Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters," Book 2 of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. Yes, there's a Hydra in there. And can you guess which mythical monsters --especially one particular monster-- Percy (and Grover and Annabeth) encounters this time around?
