So, yes, well. I've added to my "comfort dramas" list in the meantime. You know which ones I'm referring to... the dramas you tend to go back and rewatch when you're down, or you need to relax, or you need to laugh, or you just need some inspiration. Sometimes I just rewatch an episode or scene that I particularly liked, like spending some time with old friends.

Lol, I suddenly realized that four out of five of these dramas are gender-benders. :D

5. Ma Boy

Starring: Kim So-hyun and TOUCH's Sunwoong
Why I like to rewatch it: This is a light-hearted teen mini-drama that always leaves me smiling. It only has three episodes, which is good for a quick fix, and the premise is really well-executed-- at least, it's an improvement on the original manga that I'm sure it was based on. Kim So-hyun shows a lighter side after all the heavy drama roles we're used to her portraying, and Sunwoong brings his character to life very well, considering this is his first big role.

4. Ouran High School Host Club

Starring: Kawaguchi Haruna, Yamamoto Yusuke, Daito Shunsuke, Chiba Yudai, Nakamura Masaya, Takagi Shinpei and Takagi Manpei.
Why I like to rewatch it: The manga is one of my favorites, and I'm glad the drama and the movie sequel lived up to my expectations! It also introduced me to Kawaguchi Haruna, who has become one of the Japanese actresses I look out for. Don't have dire thoughts about the "host club" in the title, people... it's a great satire, and the characters' wacky antics always leave me in stitches. Choose your ideal from among the fast-talking prince Tamaki (do I detect shades of my favorite Elizabeth Peters character type, Sir John Smythe, in his makeup?), cold genius Kyoya, strong silent type Mori, boyish charmer Hunny, and naughty twins Hikaru and Kaoru.

3. To The Beautiful You

Starring: f(x)'s Choi Sulli, SHINee's Choi Min-ho, and Lee Hyun-woo
Why I like to rewatch it: Lovely colors, lovely soundtrack, lovely shots. Cute scenes. Light and funny stuff, and a familiar story.  I might need to leave my brain elsewhere for a while, but then sometimes that's the point. And I guess, in spite of all the boo-boos, what always touches me about this (or any other) Hana Kimi adaptation is Jae-hee's unwavering faith in Tae-joon being a winner and Tae-joon gradually bringing himself around to justifying that faith.

2. You're Beautiful

Starring: Park Shin-hye, Jang Geun-suk, CNBlue's Jung Yong-hwa, F.T. Island's Lee Hong-ki
Why I like to rewatch it: Do I really need a reason to watch You're Beautiful aside from the fact that it's a crack-tastic drama about a young novice (yes, a nun) who somehow ends up pretending to be a member of a K-pop idol group? Fine, if you insist. Pig-rabbit. Shin-woo hyung. Jeremy's antics. The scrapes Minyeo gets into as Minam. Tae-kyung's facial expressions. Fanfic references. Music! That this drama also introduced me to CNBlue and FT Island is a big plus.

1. ToGetHer (Superstar Express)

Starring: Rainie Yang and Fahrenheit's Jiro Wang
Why I like to rewatch it: Rainie's my go-to Taiwanese actress, and I love her roles. I started watching this drama because of her, and then I got invested in the characters -- introvert Momo whose world gets turned upside down with the arrival of vain-to-the-point-of-being-silly, idol-star-on-the-downturn MARS. It's lovely seeing her bring out MARS's real, better self just by being herself, and seeing her learn to trust another person and let him into her world. Ultimately, the whole drama is about faith and trust, and that never fails to warm my heart. Oh, and the song which is a highlight of the drama is pure love. And... I can haz moar Jiro Wang pleez?
