Augh, Monday was a holiday. I forgot today's Tuesday... I've got all my days mixed up. No matter, I'm glad I always carry some book or other in my bag, so I can choose a teaser in no time at all.
I've said this before, I do like Dorothy Cannell's books, especially the Ellie Haskell ones... when I need to laugh, those are the books that do it for me.
Now, since I'm slotting this teaser in on my lunch break again, I'll make it quick... today's teaser is from How to Murder the Man of Your Dreams by Dorothy Cannell. Love the title, although I'm not sure if I really want to know how...
"'No one who knows you, sweetheart, would believe you ever did anything so preposterous as to rent a man for a weekend and end up marrying the renegade.'
'Thanks a lot!' Wiping my eyes with the back of my hand, I banged open the door into the foyer, putting a dent in the forehead of the luckless waiter about to enter the kitchen, and plowed forward towards the dining room, where I was brought up short."

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
