Where: Lydia's Lechon
Place: SM North Edsa Foodcourt
Menu: Filipino
It was the birthday of one of my closest friends last Sunday, and she was here in Manila, so we went malling. Come lunch time, she said we definitely had to have lechon because of her birthday (she hit the big 3), but we didn't have any special place in mind, so we wandered down to the basement foodcourt and saw a Lydia's Lechon there. We ordered their combo meal, one rice with your choice of two viands and a softdrink for Php108-- we chose lechon and kare-kare, then opted for an order of chicharon bituka on the side. Yummy! The kare-kare was definitely way better than many I've tasted (and that's considerably a lot)--sabaw pa lang, ulam na!-- and the lechon was scrumptious. The bituka was crunchy and salty, a perfect appetizer. We felt like we had had a feast for a little over Php300. Not bad for a birthday celebration!
Price: Moderately affordable
Ambience: Foodcourt!
Food: Great! Great! Great!
