After the scorching heat, Tropical Storm Aere (Bebeng) blew in, and now I'm freezing. Brrrr.
Anyway, today's teaser is a rather unusual addition to my "retold tales" collection. I also have another book, Zel, by the same author. Guess, guess.
It had been a long time since Xing Xing had felt anyone cared for her. She missed that terribly, for her parents had been devoted to her, despite the fact that she was born a girl.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Sounds like this story might be heavy on the sad part, but it's got me interested. Thanks for sharing.
